The book

A sharp, funny, deeply felt debut mystery

For Maria

Ebook
out now

Her father may not have been the person she thought he was. Cork Bay would prefer she stop asking questions.

Reeling from confusion, grief and anger, Alex puts herself and her friends in danger as they search for answers, delving into government corruption, gang wars and a decades-old secret the town has never fully buried.

It's about the lies small towns tell to survive, and a daughter brave enough to find out the truth about her father.

About the author

Office politics.
Now with murder.

Portrait of author Lenore MacAdam

Lenore MacAdam spent over thirty years in television production, management consulting, human resources, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Somewhere in there, she picked up an MBA and a deep understanding of office politics, both of which turned out to be surprisingly useful for plotting a murder mystery.

After life reminded her rather forcefully that time doesn't wait, Lenore wrote the book she'd been carrying around in her head for years. She is currently working toward a master's degree in psychology, which she suspects will come in handy for at least one or two future plot twists.

She lives in Toronto and is already plotting further adventures for her Cork Bay family.
